Project Hub Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the macOS version of Project Hub ("the App") and explains how we handle user information, permissions, and data security. By using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Project Hub follows a local-first design. By default, we do not upload your project content to developer-managed servers.

  • Local project data: project name, path, tags, icons, enabled tools, and similar settings, stored on your device.
  • Local configuration files: prompts, skills, and preferences created by you, used only for app functionality.
  • Contact information you provide: only when you email support.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require account registration or login.
  • We do not run ad tracking and do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not actively collect repository content, file body text, or keyboard input.

3. Permissions and System Access

  • File and folder access: used to read selected project folders and write prompt/skill files you explicitly trigger.
  • Automation or app launching capability: used to open Finder, Terminal, Xcode, VSCode, and other tools by your action.
  • Menu bar access: used to provide quick project actions without collecting standalone identity data.

These permissions are used only for core functionality. You can manage authorization anytime in macOS system settings.

4. How We Use Data

  • To provide project management, prompt/skill workflows, tool launching, and menu bar shortcuts.
  • To preserve your personal settings for continuity and efficiency.
  • To troubleshoot issues when you proactively send diagnostics or support details.

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • App data is mainly stored on your local device under your control.
  • When you delete projects or related settings, corresponding local data is removed or overwritten by app logic.
  • If you contact support by email, email content may be retained for a reasonable period for issue handling.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share data except under the following conditions:

  • With your explicit consent.
  • To comply with applicable laws, legal process, or regulatory requests.
  • To protect users, the public, or developer rights when necessary.

7. International Transfers

Project Hub does not send in-app project data to developer servers by default. If you email support, cross-border processing may occur under your email provider's infrastructure.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data. If a guardian finds a child has submitted personal information, contact us via the email below for deletion.

9. Your Rights

  • You may view, modify, or delete app-generated local data at any time.
  • You may limit or revoke permissions through system settings.
  • You may contact us by email for requests, complaints, or data-related inquiries.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. You should also use device encryption and strong account protection.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this policy based on feature changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. Updates will be communicated via app release channels or this website, and the effective date will be revised.
